Professional Experience
As Deputy Project Director for Innovation Drive, Mr. Raybon has been managing the Connecticut Clean Cities Future Fuels Project since 2009. Some of Mr. Raybon’s responsibilities include business development and contributor to the Innovation Drive grant writing team. In 2012, Mr. Raybon was promoted to Program Manager and assumed a greater role in both business and program development.

Mr. Raybon has worked in both production and material procurement in the automotive industry for nearly 25 years. He has been involved in the alternative fuel industry for the last 15 years. Serving as Production Manger and Purchasing Manager for companies such as Ebus, an electric bus manufacturer in California and for Complete Coach Works, a California based company that re-powers heavy duty transportation vehicles with compressed natural gas (CNG) and hybrid-gasoline drive trains.

For a several California-based custom vehicle designers, he developed QS-9000 systems for vehicle compliance programs and administered their original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) industry assessment programs as well as developing a network of vehicle repair centers located in seven western states.

As General Manager and later as a consultant for Prestige Motor Coach, Mr. Raybon lead the company in achieving certification for the company’s China Certification Compliance (CCC) program, which allowed the company to import vehicles into China.

In addition, Mr. Raybon established a CCC program for Safari, a Gardena, CA-based van conversion company, which began exporting to China in 2009.

Raybon has more than 25 years of experience in transportation industry business management including quality assurance, customer service, purchasing and procurement, documentation, certifications, materials, and production.
